New York

 Yo homies!
You can't believe what I have discovered/adventured/seen/heard/done this day, it is totally awesume! So great! SO MUCH FUN!!
Today we had breakfast at 7.30 and then went to workshop at 8. We did a lot "aupair-stuff" that I think was really good. Like different situations that can happend with you hostfamily. Really good to hear. After that we had our presentation at the classroom, then we took pictures (typical american graduation-pictures with an american flag), the weather is fantastic and this hole stay at the trainingschool have been really good even though it's not very fresh.. they said they were going to demolish the house Molloy in some months. Well, after that we went to the cafeteria to get our packed lunchbags (baguette, apple, a bottle of water and crisps) and then we went to the buses. Here the exiting part start! The trip to NY was really awesume!
We had a guided tour by bus (really fantastic for those like me who had not seen NY before), then we went by a ferry to see the state of liberty. After that we who had paid for top of the rock went up there to see the view of NYC. This was really great. This happiness I can live for a long time! I have taken SO MANY pictures, but i'll take it another day, it's late now. We went to a cupcake-shop (that one in sex & the city) and after that a pastarestaurant to eat some food. I ate chickenpizza with BBQ sauce - really good, typical american.
When we headed home to the buses we had our meetingspot at Empire State Building. It's crazy how big NY is, we saw the building all the time but never got to it, haha. It was only about ten minutes walk, but it felt like forever.
Now it's 10.30 pm, and we're going to sleep soon. I'm tired in my feets from all the walking and I want to be alert tomorrow when i'm meeting my family for the first time.. I'm starting to get pretty nervous, that's good isn't it?
Well, i hope everything will be fine :)
I have a great time over here, wish you all could join me - this is awesume!! (i really like that word).
Good night everybody!

Molloy

This is the big livingroom. Not very cosy, but acceptable..

These are the bathroom. Note that they only have short doors!
And the toilets are half-filled with water (we just have a little water on the bottom) it looks like there's something wrong. And what a flush! Sounds like an earthquick -.-

Policevisit

 Wow!
I can see that my readers totally check out my blog, keep up the good work!!
Now we're back from a lesson in another building (today we had sing along and eveninglesson). A police officer, who was totally awesume, made jokes and told us about safety and american laws. Very fun to see.
At the sing-along everybody from the different countries had to sing a national song on the scen. We sang Pippi Longstocking with movements (correct?) with our hands and s on. It was very funny to see all the other countries, especiallt the three short chineese-girls who sang about rabbits and jumped like them - it was sooo funny!
Today I paid for my trip to NY and tomorrow the lesson will start at 8 am. We'll do the presentation and then we'll go to the big city!
The time here is almost 9 pm, and I am so tired - long days with just sitting.. I'm going to bed as soon i get out of the computerroom.

Pictures

Thought I was going to give you some pictures from my camera (the little one)

This is our room (doesn't look very disgusting, but it is)

This is Molloy, the house we live in.

Here is one part of the training school (we are not exactly here, but this was the most beautiful part)

The food from yesterday (chicken fingers)

The breakfast for today (scrambled eggs, toast, banana and cherious that i promise i won't eat again - i got a sugarkick...)

This is the classroom. Now we're going to have a presentation about seven year olds. We made a big poster on a group of four. 3 swedish girls and one polish. I'm going to pay my NY-tour too by the way. Talk to you later!

...

I'm not going to spoil you with these long texts every day, just so you know.
It takes so long to write, especially on these computers.

Morning

It's 7 am now, i went to bed early yesterday, slept almost 10 hours, but today i'm really alert.
today we have class from 8.15 am to 5 pm, and later an eveningclass from 7 to 9 pm. That sucks, but our teacher Tara is really great, she is so funny, young and understanding. Why didn't she teach at Njudung????
Now i'm sitting in the computerroom with Julia next to me. The computers are pretty slow, but i talked a little with sofie on facebook a moment ago. as soon as i get internet on my own computer i will upload some of the pictures i've taken. Maybe I will take picture on the breakfast soon. I heard they served barbeque at lunch or dinner today, they're grilling outside, that seems pretty nice!
I got up early today to shower and my hair haven't dried yet. Yesterday i slept with wet hair and it was still soakingwet when I woke up. There we're talking about tropical weather - lucky it ain't like that all the time! Anyway, they have hairdryers for rent here, but I haven't energy to get one so my hair have to dry by itself. It's alright now when i have short hair, don't you think, Fanny?
I saw that some of you have found my blog, yesterday i had FOUR readers..... wow?
Mom, i hope you keep grandma updated - tell her it's too expensive to answer textmessages and wish her good luck with the moving! Tell her that I have it very good here and that i'm going on the NY-tour tomorrow (thursday).
hm.. now i don't really know what to write. you always think what to write when you don't have the time to write!
Yesterday on our lesson we sat and waited to finish the class for about one hour, with nothing to do.. Tara is a little bit softer than the other teachers so we didn't have to do the last task. We have to do our learning-hours for the VISA, so we can't go from class until it really ends. So the last like 2 hours we did pretty much nothing. Then the time goes VERY slowly. It's almost better do something instead of just sittning there. My point with this was that I wrote on a paper everything that i was going to write on my blog.. ( but that took only 5 minutes), but it was not a totally waste. Tara said like: you can chat with your friends, take a nap, look at the maps over where you're going ot whatever. She is awesome!!
Yesterday we sat talking, some swedish girls in the sofas for a while. They are so great, it's so fun to chat with them and everybody is really friendly. One of them did say I talked "smalandska" though, but she's still very nice!
My hair is almost dry now, so i think i can make it without a hairdryer, great!
Now we're going to have som breakfast - we'll see what we'll have today :)
Have a nice day, people!

Flight & School

I guess I have a lot to tell you now - so let's start from the beginning...
I won't be able to write even half of everything, but you'll have to be satisfied with what I write.
Now we're sitting in the computerroom at my house at the trainingschool. The buttons til the computer is hard to push and pretty disgusting, i would rather have my own computer but i didn't get the internet to work - hope it will be better at my family's house! Here at school it's nice outside, but pretty unfresh inside. Today our teacher told us it had been a militaryschool, a famous one. The school is some different buildings in a big area. I live in the buildning called Molloy. I share a room with two other girls, one from Austria and one from Germany. The rooms are not very classy, the corridor smells like pee and the shower is very disgusting, but it's just for some days - I won't be here for so long! We eat food in a big cafeteria, pretty fresh actually. As lunch we got "chicken fingers with fries" - very tasty :) very american... as dinner we got 3 meatballs and something like "varrullar" in swedish. but i eat more salad than the other food, so Mom - you can be calm, i won't gain yet...
Today we had a really long lesson - from 8.15 am to 6.30 pm, that's very long if you think ot that we came here about 6 am swedish time the night before. Ofcourse we got six hours more sleep because of the timedifference, but I was still tired. In the lesson fr today we had one hole chapter + film about "shaking a baby" - how dangerous it is to shake a baby. It felt pretty unnecessary for me, taking care of 8 and 11 years old and it was only dramatic. A little bit funny now when i'm sitting here. SHAKING A BABY.........haha.............. but in the film one of the babies died. to saaaad? no.
I also have to tell you about the flight! I am followed by bad luck, have I told you? At the beginning my handbagage didn't get enough space over the seat, so I had to have it some otherwhere. Not that bad, but it happened on the next flight too - then you feel a little bit... something. But it all went well and the flight to NY was really fancy! Everybody had tv:s on their seats, and it was really fresh. Big + for the nice personal (exept for the guy that spilled juice over me and my sweater!) but it wasn't that bad. The flight went really fast, I watched the film "Safe" about a chineese girl with an extremly good memory that everybody wanted, and then i saw some episodes of "friends".
I got an mail from Lori by the way - she said maybe we're going to IKEA on saturday and then to their summerhouse in Andover - loooooooove ikea! I'm so exited, i ca't wait til i get out of here so i can finally meet them :) next time i'll write i'll probably have my own computer, it would be a little bit easier.
BIG HUG to all of you home, don't forget i've only been gone for two days or something, you shouldn't miss me already. Talk to you later!!

Tomorrow I leave!!

The time has gone so fast, and I leave tomorrow.
I'm quite nervous that I'm so calm, I don't really feel anything in my stomach at all.
I think the training-school visit seems pretty boring, but I guess it will be worth it - it seems like a lot important information so I guess it will be good. Now I'm sitting in my room, Fanny lies on the bed and I will soon jump in the shower. We leave this afternoon - gothenburg, here we come!
I have to change some money before I check in on the airport, in NY we will have a sightseeing etc that only takes cash or something.. It's good to be prepared and have some money if I loose my bag also.
Now I have to go, when I talk to you next time I will probably be in Boston or NY.
